Gaggia Saeco Boiler Valve and Piston Gasket Kit (Gaggia Brera etc)
If your coffee machine is leaking around the boiler pin or the brew unit is no longer sealing correctly, worn O-rings or a damaged counterpiston gasket may be the cause.
What Is Included?
- 1 x NM01.035 boiler pin O-ring (GAGGSAE-1-1523)
- 1 x NM01.057 boiler pin O-ring (GAGGSAE-1-1522)
- 1 x NM01.044 large counterpiston gasket (GAGGSAE-1-1508)
The two boiler pin O-rings help seal the boiler valve area, while the large counterpiston gasket helps maintain a reliable seal inside the brew unit. Over time, heat, pressure, movement, limescale, and age can cause these seals to flatten, harden, or lose elasticity, resulting in leaks or reduced sealing performance.
Trusted by repair technicians and used in professional coffee machine repairs.
Common Symptoms This Kit May Fix
- Water leaking around the boiler pin or boiler valve area
- Steam or water escaping from worn boiler seals
- Leaks from the brew unit or counterpiston area
- Worn, flattened, hardened, or damaged seals
Important Information
We recommend replacing damaged, flattened, or hardened O-rings and gaskets during repairs and servicing. Reusing worn seals may result in leaks after reassembly.
O-rings and gaskets are wear items and we generally recommend replacing them every 4 years as part of routine servicing to help maintain reliable sealing and reduce the risk of leaks.
Do not forget to buy silicone grease to reduce friction. See Related Products at the bottom of this page.

Common Questions
What seals are included in this kit?
The kit includes two boiler pin O-rings and one large counterpiston gasket for the brew unit.
Can this kit fix leaks around the boiler valve?
In most cases, yes. If water or steam is leaking around the boiler pin or boiler valve area, worn boiler pin O-rings may be preventing the connection from sealing correctly.
What does the large counterpiston gasket do?
The counterpiston gasket helps create a reliable seal inside the brew unit. A worn, flattened, or damaged gasket may lead to leaks or reduced sealing performance.
Should I use silicone grease when fitting these seals?
Yes. A small amount of suitable food-safe silicone grease can help reduce friction and make fitting easier. See Related Products at the bottom of this page.
Should I replace all the seals in the kit during servicing?
Yes. If the machine is already dismantled for repair or servicing, replacing all included wear seals can help reduce the risk of further leaks. We also generally recommend replacing O-rings and gaskets every 4 years during routine servicing, even if there are no obvious signs of damage.
